The driver of an empty gravel truck was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a crash on Highway 166 east of Santa Maria.
It happened at about 6:10 a.m. approximately six miles east of Tepusquet Road.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire, the truck went about 150 feet over the side of the road but remained on its wheels.
The man who was driving was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
