POLICE: STUDENT KILLED IN MARSHALL COUNTY CRASH INVOLVING SCHOOL BUS, SEMI

A student has died following a crash between a semi and an East Pulaski school bus in Marshall County.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind.  — A student has died following a crash between a semi and an East Pulaski school bus in Marshall County.

According to the Indiana State Police, the crash happened Wednesday morning on U.S. 31 two miles south of State Road 30. Police do not know if the weather was a factor when the flatbed truck rear-ended the bus.

In addition to the one confirmed fatality, more than 20 people were taken to St Joseph Hospital in Marshall County to be reunited with their parents. One child was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Wayne.

The conditions of those transported were not known at this time. Police confirm that there were 39 students on the bus believed to be on a field trip.
