Woman dies after being involved in a head on collision on Route 15 in Meriden

MERIDEN, Conn.  A woman has died after being involved in a head on collision in Meriden late Saturday night on the Merritt Parkway.

According to officials, Sally Mosher of Littleton, N.H. has died after being involved in the crash.

Police said the incident happened near Exit 67 on Route 15 around 11:30 p.m.

According to Connecticut State Police, David Perez of Bridgeport was traveling southbound on Route 15 when he drove off of the left side of the roadway and hit a curb.

The vehicle then became airborne, traveled over the metal guardrail, and into the northbound side of traffic.

Police stated that Perez’s car struck Mosher’s vehicle head on. He was then extricated from his vehicle and treated for minor injuries.

Passengers involved in the accident were transported by to Hartford Hospital and St. Francis Hospital by Life Star and ambulance.

Route 15 was closed but has since reopened.

This crash is currently under investigation.
